How the Plastering Material Calculator Works

The calculator uses a simple formula to determine the total amount of material needed: Total Material = (Length x Width) x Number of Coats x Material Density. The material density is based on the type of material being used, with cement requiring 20 kg/m² per coat and gypsum requiring 15 kg/m² per coat.

Length (m) Width (m) Number of Coats Material Type Total Material Needed (kg)
10 5 2 Cement 2000
15 10 1 Gypsum 1500
20 15 3 Cement 9000

Common Use Cases for the Plastering Material Calculator

  • Calculating material needed for a single room plastering project
  • Estimating material costs for a large construction project
  • Determining the amount of material needed for a DIY plastering project
  • Comparing material costs between different types of plastering materials
